CowParade is the biggest public art event in the world. From New York to Athens, from Stockholm to Istanbul, from Tokyo to Lisbon – CowParade is a global, innovative art event in continuous development, and the surplus goes to charitable purposes. CowParade has been a giant success since launching in 1998.
Decorate a cow
CowParade is based on the decoration of cow sculptures. All of them are decorated and interpreted on as many different ways as there are artistic imagination – and that is a lot!
Artists from all over the world get inspired and challenged through former exhibitions and through the ingenious simplicity which the cow, being an artistic object, represents – and at the same time they weave elements from their own and the city’s cultural background into the interpretations.
